Memorial Services Held For Orlin Dennis Miller
Orlin Dennis Miller, 39, of Seattle, Washington, formerly of Climbing Hill and Hornick, died April 2, 1989, in Seattle after a long illness.
Memorial services were in Metro Community Church in Seattle. The body was cremated and the ashes will be buried in Climbing Hill Cemetery at a later date. The Rev. Gary DeGeest of Hornick Methodist Church officiated.
Mr. Miller was born June 9, 1949, in rural Oto and grew up in the Climbing Hill and Hornick areas. He served in the Army from 1969 to 1974, serving in Vietnam as a medic. He was employed by the County Health Service in Tacoma, Washington and the last five years with one of the group health clinics in Seattle.
Survivors include two brothers, Wesley Miller Jr. of Simi Valley, California and Mervin Miller of Sioux City; two sisters, Mary Palmer of Huron, South Dakota and Lillian Johnston of Ames, Iowa; four half-sisters, Rocelle Smith of San Antonio, Texas, Grace Reed of Bellflower, California, Betty Moreno of Eureka, California and Erma Strum of Sioux City, and three half-brothers, Dick Miller Sr. of Foley, Alabama, Dennis Miller of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Merlin “Jack” Miller of Robertsdale, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two half brothers and a half sister in infancy.
