SLOAN, Iowa -- Jeffrey G. (Marshall) Kimble, 58, of Sloan died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at an area hospital following a lengthy illness.

A gathering will be held at a later date at Buster's Place to celebrate his life. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel in Sioux City.

Jeff was born the son of Joseph and Lois (Dula) Marshall, on Feb. 24, 1952, in Onawa, Iowa. After his schooling, he served his country in the U.S. Army. He was an auto mechanic in Rhode Island, where he lived for 20 years before moving back to Sloan.

He was an avid fisherman, who loved his dogs. He also loved spending time with his family and friends in his garage which he named Buster's Place. He was a member of the Am Vets and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Blais of Sloan; nine stepchildren, David (Barbara) Glode, Dennis Glode, Henry Glode Jr., Thomas Glode, Lucien Glode, Donna (Gerald) Wilson, Deborah (Charles) Singleton, Dawn (Robert) Fontaine and Darlene Glode; three brothers, Don (Kelly Jo) Marshall, Paul (Judy) Marshall and Dan Marshall; a sister, Peggy Marshall; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents.
