SIOUX CITY -- Gary L. Logemann, 57, of Centerville, S.D., formerly of Sioux City, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, in Sioux Falls, S.D., due to a heart attack.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hope Lutheran Church in South Sioux City, Neb. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Laurel Cemetery, Laurel, Neb. After the service, there will be a light lunch and gathering with the family present. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff.

Gary Lee Logemann was born on Dec. 19, 1952 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the son of Leonard and Clarabell Logemann. Gary graduated from Cumberland-Massena High School. After graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. After the service, he worked on his father's farm and then managed his own restaurant. He has also worked at IBP, Rebuilt Fuel Injectors, Gateway and for the last five years, with Quality Park Products in South Dakota.

He married Renee Delores Nissen on Aug. 31, 1984. They later divorced.

Survivors include his daughter, Laura Logemann and her mother, Renee Nissen of Sioux City; his mother, Clarabell Logemann of Massena, Iowa; five brothers, Don Logemann and his wife, Sandy of Osceola, Iowa, Ray Logemann and his wife, Teresa of Arizona, Jerry Logemann and his wife, Bobbie of Sergeant Bluff, Terry Logemann of Adel, Iowa and Kenny Logemann of Nebraska; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Logemann.

Honorary pallbearers will be Don Logemann, Jerry Logemann, Terry Logemann, Ray Logemann, Kenny Logemann, Randy Nissen and Robin Nissen.
