Inez Conaway, 70, 5300 Stone Ave. retired cook, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 1988, in a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 2 pm Wednesday in McCulloch Funeral Home in Moville, Iowa, with the Rev. Lin Jennewein of McCook Lake United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery at Moville. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Wednesday until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Conaway, the former Inez Vindersley, was born July 19, 1918 in Herman, Neb. and graduated from Blair (Neb) High School. She worked in the Omaha area as a cook and waitress before her marriage to Arthur Homan of South Dakota. He died a year after their marriage. She married Joseph Stanley Conaway July 4, 1954, in Kingsley, Iowa. The couple lived in Sioux City until 1963 when they moved to a small farm near Bronson, Iowa. After their retirement, they moved into Bronson where they lived until moving to Sioux City in the summer of 1987. Mr. Conaway died June 9, 1988, in Sioux City. She worked as a cook at Countryside Retirement Home and St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City.

Mrs. Conaway was a member of the Bronson Senior Citizens Group and the Bronson Birthday Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Joelene Conaway and Valerie Conaway, both of Sioux City; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Jay and Diane of Jefferson, S.D. and Clayton and Jeanna of Highlands, NJ; three brothers, Chris Vinderslev of Friend, Neb., Leonard Vinderslev of Chokio, Minn. and Elmer Vinderslev of Blair, Neb.; four sisters, Vivian Kraemer of Smithfield, Va., Darlene Dodge of Omaha, Dorothy Magill and Lila Pedersen, both of Blair, Neb. and two grandchildren.
