Douglas H. Ensminger, 58, of Sultan, Wash, former Sioux City resident, died Nov 15, 1988 in a hospital in Monroe, Wash.

The services were private.

Mr. Ensminger was born July 19, 1930 at Lake View, Iowa, son of Joe and Delta Ensminger. He married Mary Frances Sweem in 1947 in Sioux City. The couple resided in the Sioux City area before moving to Seattle Wash. In1965. She died April 27, 1970. He was a heavy equipment operator most of his life and worked in the gold mine in Alaska for several years.

Survivors include two sons, Curt of Palmer, Alaska and Joe of Snohomish, Wash.; three daughters, Judy Cooper of Whitefish, Mont., Mrs. Stan (Donna) Marshall of Sultan, Wash and Darlene of Bothell, Wash; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Gale of Maryville, Tenn., and Joe of Valentine, Nebr. and four sisters, Altha Ensminger of Maryville, Tenn., Sylvia South of Sioux City, Cathy Huff of Tekamah, Neb. and Beth Petersen of Moville, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son and two sisters.
