Hornick, Iowa—Jason Lee Olsen, 19, of rural Hornick, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 1992 of injuries suffered in an automobile accident on old Iowa Highway 141.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Central Baptist Church in Sioux City, with Dr. Tim Blanchard officiating. Burial will be in Westfork Cemetery at Climbing Hill, Iowa. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel in Sioux City.

Mr. Olsen was born April 12, 1972 in Sioux City and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Westwood High School in 1991 and attended Western Iowa Tech Community College, enrolled in the auto mechanics class. He was employed at Jiffy Lube on Gordon Drive as a mechanic.

Mr. Olsen attended Central Baptist Church. While in high school, he was active in football and FFA.

Survivors include his parents, Gary and Linda Olsen of Hornick; a brother and sister, Joshua and Jenny Olsen, both at home; maternal grandparents, Don and Millie Jensen of Sioux City; paternal grandparents Jim and Dorothy Olsen of Sioux City; maternal great-grandmother, Alma Merritt of Sioux City, aunts and uncles, Linda and Bud Mapes, Connie and Gary Hoklin and Miriam Jensen all of Sioux City, Donna and Terry Cherry of Dallas, Texas, and Doug and Lisa Jensen of Denver, Colo; and nine cousins.

Pallbearers will be Richard Logan, Jerry White, Todd Whiting, Dave Anderson, Tom Masters and Millard Hair.
