Funeral Services Held Friday For Margaret Boggs

Funeral services for Margaret Irene Boggs, 77, of Sioux City, formerly of Moville/Bronson area, were held Friday December 27, 1991 at 1:00 p.m. at Elliott Creek Presbyterian Church in Bronson. Dr. Robert E. Peters and the Rev. Arthur K. Beumier of Morningside Presbyterian Church officiated. Interment was in Arlington Township Cemetery, Moville, under the direction of the Christy Morningside Funeral Home in Sioux City.

Casket bearers were Messrs. Rick Ahlquist, Craig and Jeff Arnett, Tom McCabe, Laddy Peck and Lyndon Groth.

Mrs. Boggs, the former Margaret Clause, was born December 5, 1914 in Marietta, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence D. and Margaret H. Clause. She married Joseph Robert Boggs Jr. April 2, 1930 in Moville. He preceded her in death. She lived most of her life in the Moville/Bronson area, moving to Sioux City five years ago. She was a cook at the Bronson Elementary School and also worked as a nurse aide at St. Joseph Hospital.

She was a member of the Bronson Birthday Club and the Bronson Senior Citizens Center. She was a Presbyterian.

Mr. Boggs died Sunday December 22, 1991 unexpectedly at her home.

Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Betty and Maynard Ahlquist of Climbing Hill, Marlyn and Elgerd Arnett and Carolyn and Tommy Thompson, all of Sioux City; a son and his wife, Richard and Janet Boggs of Santa Rosa, California; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and two brothers, Floyd Clause of Sioux City and Bernard Clause of Carson City, Nevada.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Boggs; and two brothers, Brandy and Vernon Clause.
