Funeral Services Held For Wayne C. Weinreich

Funeral services for Wayne C. Weinreich, 60, of San Diego, California, formerly of Lawton, were held Saturday April 7, 1990 at 2:00 p.m. in Bethel Lutheran Church in Lawton. Rev. Bruce Jackson officiated. Interment was in Banner Township Cemetery, Lawton, under the direction of the McCulloch Funeral Home of Moville.

Beverly Zenor, organist and soloist, sang “Beyond The Sunset.”

Casketbearers were Messrs. John Woodall, Larry Hanson, Arnold Berglund, Lewis Gernhart, Walter Reinholdt and David Cooper.

Mr. Weinreich was born February 23, 1930 on a farm near Pierson, Iowa. He attended schools in Woodbury and Plymouth counties. In 1947 he graduated from Pierson High School and later with an electrical engineering degree from Iowa State University in Ames. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served for two years. He married Shirley Harrison in July 1950 in Lawton. He was employed by Naval Ocean System Center in San Diego. He received several awards during his 32 years he worked for the Navy.

Mr. Weinreich died Wednesday, April 4, 1990 at his home after a long illness.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Marty of San Diego; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Weinreich of Kingsley, Iowa; a sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Berglund of Marcus; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Weinreich of Kingsley, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Weinreich of Englewood, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Dean.
