BRONSON, Iowa -- Dale L. Fredinburg, 66, of Bronson died Friday, June 17, 2005, at his residence following a two-year battle with prostrate cancer.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton, Iowa, with Chaplain Lorna Peters and the Rev. Bill Thorton officiating. Burial will be in Westfork Township Cemetery at Climbing Hill, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel in Sioux City.

Dale was born Feb. 22, 1939, the son of George and Florence (Wickham) Fredinburg. He attended school at Climbing Hill and continued his education serving a carpenter apprenticeship. He worked for W.A. Klinger Company for more than 15 years. In 1985, he was placed at Terminal Grain Company (now ADM Growmark), where he continued to work.

Dale married Judy Ellen Parker on June 19, 1959, at Bronson. Together they lived in the Lawton, Climbing Hill and the Bronson area, where they farmed.

He was a member of Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton, where he served as a trustee, deacon and elder. Dale enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and all their events as he coached his daughters' sports teams for many years. He also enjoyed golfing, yard work, all of his dogs and scat cat.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Fredinburg of Bronson; three daughters and their husbands, Daletta and Dave Bruggeman of Le Mars, Iowa, Deanna and Joe Cloud of Bronson, and Danita and Jeff Eaton of Sergeant Bluff; seven grandchildren, Kendra, Kody, Brianna, Brody, Colton, Katlynn and Alexis; and two brothers, Don and his wife, Marilyn Fredinburg of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Danny Fredinburg of Glenwood, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dean Fredinburg.
