Lawton, Iowa—Milo A. Wilson, 62, Lawton, farmer, died Saturday, December 29, 1990, at a Sioux City hospital of an apparent heart attack.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton, with Dr. Robert E. Peters officiating. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery at Lawton. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, with a Mosonic service conducted by Landmark Lodge 103 AF & AM at 7 p.m. at McCulloch Funeral Home in Moville.

Mr. Wilson was born April 4, 1928, in Sioux City. He graduated from Lawton High School in 1946 and attended one year at Iowa State University. He married Barbara Vashaw May 5, 1950, in Moville. He was a lifelong Lawton resident and farmer, having lived on the same farm all his life.

Mr. Wilson was a lifelong member and past elder of the Lawton Community Presbyterian Church. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of Landmark Lodge. He was a member of the Sioux City Consistory, Abu Bekr Shrine Temple and Wrecking Crew. He was active in all types of horse-related activities and was a former member of the Moville Roping Club and Tri-State Roping Club. He helped with Little Britches Redeo, Iowa High School Rodeo, Days of ’56 Rodeo (Ponca, Neb.) and was a 4-H horse barn superintendent. He was a member of the 4-H Sub-committee, past president of the Lawton Saddle Club and helped with the Easter Seals Ride-a-thon since its beginning 13 years ago. He was a past president of the N.W. Iowa Chuckwagon Association and participated in countless rodeos, horseshows, races and trail rides.

Survivors include his wife; four sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Barbara J. Wilson of Lawton, Chauncey J and Debra Wilson of Anthon, Rob J and Kim Wilson of Lawton and James D and Sharol Wilson of Wayne, Nebraska; a daughter and son-in-law, Loren and Teresa L. Myers of Lawton; his mother, Thelma L. Wilson, of Sioux City; eight grandchildren, Dade Wilson, Jeffrey Hill, Cody Myers, Lacy Myers, Molly Wilson, Sally Wilson, Rashelle Wilson and Jennifer Wilson; and a sister, Mrs. Albert (Philena) Wilson of Kansas City, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cleo J. Wilson.
