Charles E. Davis, 83, Lawton, a retired farmer, died Monday (Feb. 5,1990) at Colonial Manor in Kingsley after a brief illness.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Thursday at McCulloch Funeral Home in Moville with Rev. Martin Osterloh officiating. Burial was in Banner Township Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 30, 1906, in Floyd Township in Woodbury County and was a lifelong Lawton farmer. He was a member of the Hornick Elevator Co-operative and Farm Bureau.

Survivors are his two sisters, Grace Anderson of Silver City, Iowa, and Nora Olson of North Platte, Neb, and a brother, Glann J. Davis of Lawton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sanford and Estella Davis; a sister, Elizabeth, and two brothers, William and Jacob.
