Bronson, Iowa—F. Harlan Olson, 77, of Bronson died Saturday, June 23, 1990, in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Elliot Creek Presbyterian Church at Bronson with the Rev. Robert Peters officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today with the family present from 7-9 p.m. in Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Mr. Olson was born Feb. 1, 1913, in rural Vermillion, S.D. He attended Vermillion schools and graduated
from Vermillion High School. He also attended the University of South Dakota, Morningside College and Nettleton Business School in Sioux City. On June 9, 1938, he married Quinndell Ebbesen in rural Vermillion. He owned and operated the Bronson Feed and Hardware Store for 42 years. He also was a seed salesman for Pioneer Seed Co. and had a rural delivery route for the Sioux City Sunday Journal for more than 25 years. He also drove a bus for the Lawton-Bronson School District for more than 29 years.

Mr. Olson was a member of Elliott Creek Presbyterian Church at Bronson and formerly was an elder at the First Baptist Church in Vermillion. He was a volunteer fireman at Bronson and formerly at Vermillion.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Fred H. and his wife, Elizabeth Brackett and Richard Lee and his wife, Carol Watson, all of Minneapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Rosemary) Carr of Buffalo, Wyo.; two brothers, Henry P. of Redding, California and Eldon A. of rural Vermillion; two sisters, Mrs. Francis (Ruth) Rudd of rural Vermillion and Mrs. John D (Frances) Dornon of Sioux City; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

A memorial has been established in his name with the Bronson Ambulance Fund.
