20 October 2002ONAWA, Iowa -- Waldo E. Lundeen, 91, of Onawa died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Onawa, with the Rev. Chuck Layton officiating. Burial will be in Little Sioux Township Cemetery, Smithland, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.
Waldo was born June 23, 1911, in Ticonic, Iowa, the son of John and Ethel (Browning) Lundeen. He attended school in Ticonic and was a lifelong farmer in Grant Center, Iowa.
He was married to Freda Miller on Sept. 30, 1933, in Onawa. The couple retired and moved to Onawa in 1980.
He was a member of United Methodist Church and Farm Bureau.
Survivors include his wife; a son and his wife, Larry and Candace of Plymouth, Minn.; two daughters, Marlene Knoff of Castana, Iowa, and Sheryl and her husband, Larry Pixler of Arvada, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Franza Champion; a son-in-law, Dale Knoff; and a great-grandson, Diego LaBriola.
