Hornick, Iowa—Dorothy E. Aldrich, 88, of Hornick died Wednesday, January 24, 1996, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the United Church of Christ in Rodney with the Rev. Karen Dearchs officiating. Burial will be in the Little Sioux Township Cemetery at Smithland. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the Willman Funeral Home in Rodney.

Mrs. Aldrich was born April 9, 1907 in Rodney, the daughter of Lewis W. and Grace (McDonald) Cleveland. She graduated from Smithland High School in 1926. She married Byron Aldrich December 12, 1932, in Onawa. She had been a teller and bookkeeper at the Rodney and Smithland Banks until retiring in 1962.

Mrs. Aldrich was a member of the United Church of Christ, Women’s Fellowship, Senior Citizens Center, and Ember Rebekah Lodge, all of Rodney. She also was a member of the Order of Eastern Starr at Smithland.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Lowell and Pat of Hornick; a daughter and her husband, Gracia and Donald Forney of Hornick; a sister, Hazel Cleveland of Hornick; a brother and his wife, James and Vera Cleveland of Hornick; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Byron and a brother, Franz.
