Charles W. “Bud” Turman, 71, of Williams, Arizona and formerly of Sioux City, died Thursday, January 11, 1996, at the VA Medical Center in Prescott, Ariz.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Christy Smith & Hockenberry Morningside Funeral Home with Dr. Robert E. Peters of Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton, Iowa, officiating. Visitation will be noon to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Smithland (Iowa) cemetery.

Mr. Turman was born Dec. 25, 1924, in Smithland, the son of John and Ester (Hjort) Turman. He attended Smithland schools. He lived in Sioux City for several years and moved to Arizona about 14 years ago. He was employed at Wincharger for 10 years. He was in the military from 1945 to 1947 and was stationed in Korea.

Survivors include one brother, John of Sioux City; four sisters, Maureen and her husband Wesley Horn of Sioux City, Leila and her husband William Wingert of Bronson, Iowa, Mary Ann Foster of Pierson, Iowa and Louise and her husband Joe Rohmiller of LeMars, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
