Funeral Services Held Monday For Clara Kabisch

Funeral services for Clara R. Kabisch, 92, of Moville, were held Monday, July 20, 1987 at 10:30 a.m. in the Moville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Marvin Ceynar officiated. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, under the direction of the McCulloch-Wavrin Funeral Home of Moville.

Mrs. Betty Rhue was organist.

Casket-bearers were grandsons.

Mrs. Kabisch was born May 14, 1895 in Rushmore, Minnesota, the daughter of Gustave and Maria Olson Keller. She married August J. Kabisch on January 28, 1920 at Correctionville. They farmed in the Correctionville- Cushing area until 1942 when they moved to a farm south of Moville. After her husband’s death in 1956 she moved to Moville. She was a resident of Colonial Manor at Kingsley for two months before her death.

She was a member of the Moville United Methodist Church and Delta Alpha of the Church.

Mrs. Kabisch died Friday, July 17, 1987 at St’ Lukes Regional Medical Center in Sioux City after a short illness.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Opal) Goering and Mrs. Luverne (Kathryn) Miller, both of Iowa City, and Mrs. Alfred (Virginia) Malcom of Moville; two sons, Walter of Moville, and Robert of Kingsley; 31 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandchild and one great-grandchild, two sisters, three brothers and one half brother.
