Funeral Services Held Wednesday For Geraldine Hinrichs

Funeral services for Geraldine “Jerre” Hinrichs, 78, of Lawton, were held Wednesday, February 4, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinty Lutheran Church in Moville. Rev. Michael Kroona officiated. Interment was in Banner Township Cemetery, Lawton under the direction of the McCulloch Funeral Home in Moville.

Rochelle Wilson, soloist, sang “Rock of Ages.” Ruth Chartier was organist.

Honorary casket-bearers were Steve, Blake, Kelly and Brook Hinrichs, Yvonne Merrill and Bryan Wang.

Casket-bearers were John and Jack Crowl, Amy Ward, Wayne and Josh Hinrichs and Justine Wang.

Mrs. Hinrichs was born July 17, 1919, in Woodbury County, Iowa, the daughter of Oliver and Alma Lea (Shipley) Horsley. She graduated from East High School in 1937.

She married Wayne Hinrichs on July 8, 1939, in Dakota City. The couple had resided in the Lawton area since 1939, where she was a homemaker.

She was a member of Trinty Lutheran Church and Meadows Golf Club. She enjoyed golfing, fishing and crafts.

Mrs. Hinrichs died Thursday, January 29, 1998 at the Valley Lutheran Hospital in Mesa, Arizona.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters and their husbands, Zoralea and Tom Crowl of Wilsall, Montana, Joane and Everett Hinrichs of Manson, Iowa aqnd Sandy and Bob Wang of Omaha, Nebraska; a son and his wife, Mile and Sheryl of Chesapeake, Virginia; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister and her husband, Elsie and Walter Stamper of Queensbury, N.Y. a brother, Lee Horsley of Sioux City; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
