MOVILLE, Iowa -- Donna Waddell, 74, of Moville passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at her residence.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott Creek Presbyterian Church in Bronson, Iowa, with Dr. Wayne Peach officiating. Burial will be in Westfork Township Cemetery in Climbing Hill, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.

Donna was born March 31, 1928, at Sioux City, the daughter of Leonard and Ethel (Glann) Francis. She was raised in Climbing Hill and graduated from Climbing Hill High School in 1945. She was a secretary at Oakland Army Base, Calif., and later worked as an X-ray technician at Denver, Colo. After moving back to Sioux City, she worked at Farner Bocken Co.

She married Erwin "Pete" Waddell on July 24, 1954, at Sioux City. The couple farmed at Bronson until retiring to Moville in 1996. Pete passed away May 22, 1999, at Moville.

Donna was a member of Elliott Creek Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her children, Stanley and his wife, Lynda of Peoria, Ariz., Julie McNaughton of Kansas City, Mo., Janie and her husband, Bill Sparr of Anthon, Iowa, and Bryan of Sergeant Bluff; five grandchildren, Christopher, Lyndsey, Brianne, Jill and Jennifer; a brother-in-law and his wife, Francis and Joan Waddell of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and eight nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Betty Jean and Bob Devine.

Pallbearers will be Charles Widman, Doug Rush, Tom Ullrich, David Devine, Dennis Devine and Dean Rasmussen.
