CORRECTIONVILLE, Iowa -- Joshua Leon Steffens, 17, of Correctionville died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, in Washta, Iowa.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Church of Christ in Correctionville, with Mr. Clifton Cockburn officiating. Burial will be in Correctionville Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Correctionville.

Josh was born Dec. 10, 1985, in Sioux City, the son of Lloyd and Vicki (Stines) Steffens. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, skateboarding and listening to music. He loved playing on his computer and hanging out with friends and family.

Survivors include his mother, Vicki Steffens of Correctionville; his father Lloyd Steffens of Cushing, Iowa; two brothers, Jeremy, Jason and Cassie Steffens; his grandparents, Lloyd and Arlene Stines of Correctionville and Sally Steffens of Cleghorn, Iowa; two nephews, Koby and Kyler Steffens of Pierson, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Alvin Steffens; and an aunt, Toni Canstaneda.
