Allan Leo Case, 85, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Sioux City, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002.

Military services were held in San Antonio on Nov. 29. Burial was in Fort Sam Houston Cemetery, San Antonio.

Mr. Case was born Sept. 17, 1917, to Reuben and Edith (Baxter) Case, in Sioux City. He attended schools in Sioux City and enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 18. He proudly served his country for 20 years, retiring as a master sergeant. He served in Europe during World War II and on the front during the Korean War. He earned many medals and ribbons. He was especially proud that he was top sharp shooter, with the pistol, in his company of 570 men.

He is survived by his brother, Raymond L. Case of Sioux City; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Fern, Edna, Betty, Grace and Jessie; and his brothers, Earl, Roy and Robert.
