24 March 2010SIOUX CITY -- Tamara Sue "Tammy" Biggerstaff, 50, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010, at the Holy Spirit Retirement Home.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Riverside Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 6:30 p.m. today, with the family present 5 to 6:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 6 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff.
Tammy was born Jan. 1, 1960, in Sioux City, the daughter of Bill and Patsy Biggerstaff. She was born with cerebral palsy. Tammy attended the hospital schools in Iowa City, Iowa, and in 1978, she moved to the Village Northwest in Sheldon, Iowa.
Tammy enjoyed her stays at Camp Sunnyside near Des Moines. She was a huge Elvis fan and loved to watch television. Tammy was baptized in the Lutheran faith.
Tammy is survived by her parents, Bill and Patsy of Sioux City; her brother, Jeff and his wife, Marcie of Sioux City; and her nieces, Katie, Jordan and Lauren.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Minnie and Phil Tobias and Joe and Dale Biggerstaff.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Spirit Retirement Home or Riverside Lutheran Church.
