Beulah Warriner - Oct. 21, 1910 - Dec. 1, 2003

Beulah Warriner, age 93, died Monday, December 1, 2003, at her home at Methodist Manor in Storm Lake. Iowa.

Beulah May McClaran was born on October 21, 1910, near Climbing Hill, Iowa, to Ed and May (Clark) McClaran. She was raised there and at Correctionville, graduating from Correctionville High School in 1928.

She received her teaching degree at Wayne State College, and taught school near Moville and Salix. In 1943 Beulah was united in marriage to Burton Warriner at South Sioux City, Nebraska. Mrs. Warriner was a homemaker for 56 years, first on the family farm and then in town at Schaller.

Mrs. Warriner was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, from baptism and Piero Bethel to where she devoted most of her life, the Schaller Methodist Church. She was active in several Methodist women’s clubs and outreach groups as well as supporting numerous youth activities with her children.

She is survived by her sister, Nell Riser of Moville, Iowa; her son, James Warriner of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and her daughter, Nancy Wernimont of Lakewood, Colorado. Mrs. Warriner had seven grandchildren: Barry Warriner of Round Rock, Texas, Robert Warriner of Divide, Colorado, James S. Warriner of Jacksonville, Florida, Elizabeth Warriner of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Jacqueline Wernimont of Providence, Rhode Island, and Nicole and Zachary Wernimont of Lakewood, Colorado. She had one great-granddaughter, Savannah Warriner of Jacksonville, Florida. Numerous nieces and nephews share the loss of their aunt.

Mrs. Warriner was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and May McClaran; one brother Lauren McClaren; and two sisters: Ruth Hall and Muriel Needham. She suffered the death of her husband, Burton Warriner, after 46 years of marriage.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 6, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Schaller. Burial will be in the Schaller Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller is in charge of the arrangements.

Friends may call on Friday, December 5, 2003 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller where the family will be present from 6:00 –8:00 p.m.
