Mary Catherine ‘Cathy’ was born June 5, 1961, at Sioux City, the youngest daughter of William and Mary Utesch. She attended school at Eastwood Community school, graduating in 1979; her activities included music, drama, basketball, volleyball, golf, track, FHA, and 4H. A member of honor society of Eastwood, Cathy was named in Who’s Who of America in music in 1978-1979 edition.

She attended Western Iowa Tech. in Sioux City, majoring in accounting, for two years, graduating in 1981. She is presently employed for Randall’s Formal Wear (warehouse department) as a bookkeeper, she lives in Sioux City.

Cathy is a member of the United Methodist Church at Correctionville. During her school years she served as pianist during the summer months, also served on the official board.

Upon attaining her 20th birthday, Cathy is a majority member of the Order of Rainbow for girls; she was Worthy Advisor in 1978.

She enjoys riding and training horses and playing the piano.
