Fred Rundle

Fred, son of James and Annie Rundle, was born January 29, 1898. He married Blanche Jepson, March 12, 1932, in Dakota City, Nebraska. They had one daughter, Wanda Lee ‘Mrs. Fred Housel’ and three grandchildren.

Fred served in World War I. He worked for twenty-three years on the county road maintainer. He retired working at the Sioux City Airbase in 1966. At the time of his death, he was Township Clerk and a member of the church choir. A charter and life member of the George Nelson Post 622 American Legion, he served on the Sergeant Bluff council and was Sexton of the Sergeant Bluff Cemetery. Fred was a member of the Methodist Church. He died May 28, 1980, at the age of 83.
