James Rundle was born in Bodmen, Cornwall, England, on July 31, 1867. He came to America in 1883 and directly to Sergeant Bluff. HE married Annie Sweet, also from England, April 6, 1896. They had two children. Marie ‘Mrs. Clarence Isebrands’; and Fred W Rundle and two granddaughters. James passed away July 15, 1945. Annie passed away January 24, 1959. James farmed until he was forced to leave because of ill health, moving to Sergeant Bluff. He served as custodian of the Public School and also of the Methodist Church at Sergeant Bluff.
