Lawrence Gilmer Mead, born March 2, 1907, at Oto, Iowa, died August 11, 1977, in Sioux City, Iowa. He was the son of Calvin Miner Mead and Lillie Mae Parkhill.

Lawrence married Edith Mae Daniels, May 29, 1937, at Sioux City, Iowa. Edith was born March 1, 1918, at Smithland, Iowa, to Walter Ray Daniels, born October 31, 1884, died January 15, 1948; and Mabel Edith Chrestensen, born November 5, 1891, died October 6, 1976.

Lawrence farmed many years in Woodbury County, Iowa. Lawrence had blue eyes and dark brown hair and was of medium height. Edith had brown eyes and brown hair. Edith crochets a lot and has a big garden.

Their children are: Rex Gilmer Lawrence Walter, Esther Joann, Dennis Paul, Earl Roger, Mabel Mae, Steven John, Wayne Allen, Ellen Marie, Margaret Anne, Billy Gene, and Eric Lee.
