John Maurice Huot, was born in Sioux City, Iowa, on February 20, 1946, to roger A and Kathryn Huot. He attended St Joseph’s School, Salix, through eighth grade and graduated from Heelan High School.

He married Susan Fox on April 7, 1967, at Homer, Nebraska. They were parents of two sons, Jon William, born April 25, 1968, and Jason Charles, born March 29, 1972.

On July 14, 1978, John and Celayne Granger, born January 22, 1943, were married in Des Moines, Iowa.

Celayne, daughter of Ober and Queen Elliott of Collins, Iowa, was a widow with a daughter Lynn. Lynn was married to Chris Vidmar on May 29, 1983. Celayne has one brother, Guy, who farms near Collins, Iowa.

They are owners of John’s Auto Sales Inc., in Des Moines.
