Viola Wortman married Elton Holder June, 1941, and they had four children: William, born August 1942; Carol Ane, born February 1944; Patricia, born January 1949; and Linda, born April 1954. Elton and Viola lived many years in Sergeant Bluff. Elton worked many years with Cygas Company and later for Knox Gelatin Company from which he retired. Elton died July, 1983, at age seventy-four. Viola resides at Green Acres Care Center in South Sioux City, Nebraska.

William went through school at Sergeant Bluff after which he farmed and did construction work. Bill married Carol Schmidt. They have three children: Jerry, born March 1963, Julie, born August 1965; and Michael, born February 1973. All live in Sergeant Bluff. Jerry works for Airway Service in Sioux City. Julie graduated in 1983 from Sergeant Bluff High School and is employed at the 5-7-9 Dress Shop in Southern Hills Mall. Michael is in grade school. Bill and Carol parted ways and Bill is now married to Ruth Nashleanas. They live on the Holder Homestead south of Sergeant Bluff. Bill is employed by Klinger Construction and also farms. Ruth teaches school at East High in Sioux City.

Carol Ane graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School in 1962. She married Charles Johnson in May, 1963. They have three children: Jeff born November 1964; Janell born July 1967; and Jason born April 1972. Jeff is in the United States Marines in San Diego, California. Janell attends West High School in Sioux City and Jason attends grade school. Carol and Charles were divorced. Carol now is married to Richard Mackey. They live in Sioux City. Carol is a supervisor for Interbake Foods and Richard is employed by Dacar Chemical Company, Sioux City, Iowa.

Patricia graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School in 1967. She then graduated from Beauty School and pursued that profession for some time. Patricia married Jim Gatewood; Jim is a graduate from Daktoa Wesleyan College in Mitchell, South Dakota, with a degree in teaching. Soon after graduation Jim enlisted in the Air Force and is now a Captain and attending school for computer technology at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Patricia and Jim have one daughter, Christina, born December 1970. They live in Huber Heights, Ohio.

Linda graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School in 1972. After attending Beauty School, Linda married Dennis Taylor of Sioux City. They have two children: Scott, born August 1975; and Kimberly, August 1977. Linda works for Elk Creek Animal Hospital in Sioux City and Dennis is an electrician. They live at 5844 Morningside Avenue, Sioux City, Iowa.
