Helen Wortman married Wayne Holder November 1934. They had three children: Judy born November 1938, Jim born June 1944, and Jeriane born February 1950.

Judy graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School in 1956 and then joined the Women’s Army Corps. She spent three years in the Army. In September 1960 Judy married Calvin Rathel form Salisbury, Maryland. Calvin was an Army career man. Judy worked in civil service at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, DC, and Calvin was stationed in that area for eight years. In 1968 Calvin transferred to Army Recruiting in Sioux City. Calvin is now retired from the Army and is employed by Job Service of Iowa. Judy is in civil service with the Soil Conservation Service in Sioux City. Their home is 1226 South Royce, Sioux City.

Jim graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School in 1962. Jim helped farm and worked at Metz Bakery in Sioux City. Later he moved to California and worked in a bakery. He married Ilene Krupske in California. They later moved to Michigan and Jim learned the carpet laying business. He is still in this work. They have one son, Jimmy Wayne, Jr, born December 1969, and they live in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Jeriane graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School in 1968. She married Robert Chedester in September 1968. They have three children: Shawnda Kay born September 1970, Robert Lee born September 1973, and Bryan Jay born October 1976. Jeriane and Bob were divorced in 1981. Jeriane later married Russell Lethcoe, Jr. They live near Jefferson, South Daktoa. Jeriane has her LPN license and is attending WIT to get a degree in Surgical Nursing. Russell is a mechanic and also attends WIT to further his mechanic business.
