Lloyd William Mook, the oldest child of Roy Mook and Frances Clara Frangenberg was born May 9, 1922 at Merrill, Iowa, in Plymouth County. He first attended school at a country school west of Merrill, then after the family moved to Salix, Iowa about 1932, he attended St Joseph’s Catholic School and graduated there in 1941. During World War II he served with the US Navy and was inducted into the service on December 8, 1941 at Sioux City, Iowa. He was stationed at Corpus Christi, Texas; Wake Island, the Hawiian Islands and discharged form Minneapolis, Minnesota, in December 1945 as a Radioman 2nd class. His marriage to Dorothy Jane Vaiana took place on January 26, 1946 at Holy Cross Catholica Church in Kansas City, Missouri. Dorothy was the daughter of Joseph Vaiana and Anna Barcia and was born August 10, 1924 at Hastings, Colorado. In 1942 she graduated from the Trinidad Colorado High School and then in 1946 and she received her Bachelor of Music Degree from the Conservatory of Music. Dorothy was a self-employed music teacher. She died on August 8, 1981, at Kansas City, Missouri.

Lloyd Mook was first employed as a farm laborer after graduating from high school. From 1945 through 1957 he was employed as a bookkeeper at Kansas City, Missouri. In 1958 he became co-owner and operator of a hardware store at Grandview, Missouri, and is currently in that business, with plans for retirement in 1984. The field of aeronautics was of great interest to Lloyd and he took the training and earned his pilots license. He also worked for several years on building his own plane.

Lloyd Mook and Dorothy Vaiana are the parents of two children, Cynthia Marie and David Gerard.

Cynthia Marie Mook was born on December 9, 1949 at Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Southwest High School at Kansas City in 1971 and earned her Masters Degree in Music at the Conservatory of Music in 1973. Later, in 1979, she earned her degree as Doctor of Musical Arts. Cynthia married Kenneth Warren Atwell on November 18, 1972 in Kansas City and they are the parents of once child, Maria Barcia Atwell who was born on June 22, 1977 in Kansas City.

David Gerard Mook was born May 7, 1952 at Kansas City. He graduated from Southwest High in Kansas City in 1970. He studied music at the Conservatory of Music in Kansas City. He later attended the University of Missouri at Kansas City and on May 15, 1976 he earned his Degree of Dr of Medicine. Dr David Mook now practices at Grandview, Missouri. He is married and has one child.

Lloyd Mook was married the second time to Regina Steffey Roberts. She was born June 14, 1927 at Truman, Arkansas to Fred Steffey and Mary Ellen Underhile. She has been employed as a cashier. Lloyd and Regina now reside at Grandview, Missouri.
