George Henry and Sarah Ann (Wright) Fuller

George Henry Fuller was born April 13, 1869, in Norfolk, England. He was the second child of eleven born to John and Sarah Ann Wright Fuller, the others beirng John, Mary, Angelina, Sara, Rose, Robert, Lydia and Edward. In 1888, George came to America, arriving in Onawa, Monona, County, Iowa, on May 15. Prior to leaving England, George had become engaged to marry Mary Osborne Wagg.

Mary Osborne Wagg was born February 29, 1872 at Ringstead, Norfolk, England. She was the third child of seven born to Robert and Sarah Ann Wagg, the others being Charlotte, Emma, George, Ganny, William and Elizabeth. Mary was baptized at St Andrew’s Church in Ringstead on April 6, 1873. In 1890, Mary came to America, arriving in Onawa on November 5. Mary and George were married in Onawa on November 14, 1890.

George and Mary made their home in Monona County. They were the parents of eleven children. Stella Jane (Mrs Ernest Jackson) was born July 1, 1892; and Maud Pearl was born July 20, 1894, and died February 17, 1924. Hazel May (Mrs Louis Castle) was born July 10, 1897; and William Fort (married Helen Hall) was born May 30, 1900. Robert John married Leona Willard) was born December 6, 1903; Fern Luella (Mrs Harry Linderman, Mrs Everett Morley) was born June 30, 1905; and Kenneth Forest (married Myrtle, married Donna Gemzel Todd) was born February 12, 1908. Anna Mary (Mrs Walter Porter) was born October 28, 1910; and Edward George (maried Elsie Cook) was born September 24, 1912. Irene Helen (Mrs Harold Sullivan) was born September 29, 1917; and Maxine Opal (Mrs John Asay) was born Octobr 23, 1922.

George and Mary moved to Sioux City in 1936. They operated a service station and restaurant which was located at Floyd Blvd and 27th Street. George passed away at his residence on February 20, 1947, and was buried at Grant Cemetery at Ticonic, Iowa. Following his death, Mary and her son, Kenneth moved to California. They made their home at Canoga Park, California. Mary returned to Sioux City when her health began to fail and stayed with her daughter, Hazel Castle. She was staying with her daughter, Irene Sullivan, at Washta, Iowa, when she passed away. Mary passed away October 9, 1955, and was buried at Grant Cemetery at Ticonic, Iowa.
