Henry George Fey, Sr, was born May 21, 1856, in Wudenthausen, Germany, and came to the United States at age twelve years. He went to live in eastern Iowa. He was a farmer by trade. He died in 1941 at the home of his daughter, Mrs Bert Thompson, at Anthon. He married Elizabeth Anna Luckel in 1882. She was born March 31, 1862, in Girkhausen, Germany, and came to the United States, coming to Iowa, as a young girl. She died in 1931 at Wheatland, Iowa. They are both buried in the St. Paul Cemetery at Wheatland along with other family members. To his union were born thirteen children: Henry George Fey was the oldest.

Henry George Fey, Jr, was born at Wheatland, Iowa, September 21, 1883, and died December 9, 1953, at his home in Correctionville, Iowa. He farmed in the Correctionville, Anthon and Leeds, Iowa, vicinities except for three years at Canova, South Dakota. On December 22, 1909, at Sioux City, Iowa, he married Lulu Mae Jones. She was born October 25, 1888, at Anthon, Iowa, and died June 5, 1973, at a nursing home in Correctionville. She was the oldest (step) daughter of Franklin and Margaret Jones. Franklin Harrison Holt Jones was born Septembe r28, 1862, in Jackson County, Iowa, and died September 27, 1936, in a Sioux City hospital. Franklin Jones married Margaret Jane McGinty, May 24, 1891, at Ticonic, Iowa. She was born September 23, 1861, at Cascade, Iowa, and died at her home in Anthon, Iowa, November 24, 1944.

Henry George and Lulu Mae Fey were the parents of two sons: Franklin Wayne, the oldest, born November 13, 1911; and Henry Ardell, born July 30, 1913. Henry Ardell got his education in Correctionville, Anthon, and Leeds, Iowa, schools, except for three years at Canova, South Dakota. He farmed for several years and decided to give that up and go into some other line of work. He worked as a mason, five years on the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad, and twenty-two years as a heavy equipment operator on secondary roads in Woodbury County, Iowa.

Henry Ardell Fey married Helen Waunita Creek, April 15, 1936, at Rock Branch, Iowa. She was the oldest daughter of Charles and Oda (Admire) Creek, long-time residents of Woodbury County. She was born February 17, 1913, at Anthon, Iowa. She was born February 17, 1913, at Anthon, Iowa. She was a rural school teacher and a rural substitute mail carrier. To this union three sons were born. Larry Ardell, the oldest, was born December 6, 1940, and died December 6, 1940. Gary DeRue was born August 20, 1943, and Terry Lou was born December 11, 1946. Dr Cauley, a long-time doctor at Anthon, Iowa, delivered Henry Ardell, Helen Waunita, Gary and Terry.

Henry and Helen retired in 1976 and live at Correctionville, Iowa. Their hobbies are working with thoroughbred race horses (of which Henry is trainer and co-owner), and enjoying their grandchildren, two grandsons and four granddaughters.
