Clara Maud ‘Maud’ Glover , daughter of Benjamin F and Lucinda Ellen (Clark) Glover, was born June 18, 1881, in Fremont County, Iowa. She married Edmund ‘Ed’ Eugene Forsythe, born April 7, 1877, at Council Bluffs, Iowa, on June 11, 1898. They lived in the Sloan vicinity. Maud passed away June 28, 1917, and is buried in the Sloan Cemetery. Ed passed away March 23, 1958, in California. To this union were born seven children.

Leah Blanche ‘Blanche’, born October 13, 1901 at Sloan, Iowa, passed away June 25, 1907.

Grace Agnes, born August 3, 1903, passed away October 18, 1962. Her husband was Waalter Roland Black, born October 7, 1900, at Salix. They were married December 1919. They had two boys: Robert Roland, born June 21, 1921 at Salix, married Madeline Mae Shirley; William Eugene Black, born June 13, 1922, at Salix, married Margaret A Burwinkle. Both boys live in California.

Richard ‘Dick’, born December 5, 1905, at Sloan, passed away November 3, 1967. He married Winnefred C Leahy, August 3, 1935. They had a daughter, Mary Charmaine, born August 16, 1940, in Sioux City, Iowa.

Edna Mae was born May 1, 1908, at Sloan, where she grew up and graduated from Sloan High School. She married Earl K Goldsmith, September 9, 1939, and lives in California. They have three children: Linda Kay Goldsmith, born January 15, 1941, at Long Beach, California; Larry Gene Goldsmith, born December 20, 1943, at Long Beach, California; Roger Ray Goldsmith, born June 22, 1948, at Long Beach, California.

Donald Eugene Forsythe, born November 26, 1909, at Sloan, married Dorothy Mary Genoa on February 20, 1960.

Frederick Forsythe, born February 17, 1914, passed away February 17, 1914.

William Glover ‘Billy’ Forysthe was born June 18, 1917, in Sioux City, Iowa. He was ten days old when his mother, Maud, passed away. His Aunt Essie Glover Shannon took him to care for and later adopted him.
James Cleveland Glover, son of Benjamin and Lucinda Glover, was born January 3, 1885, In Lakeport Township, where he grew up to the age of sixteen. He then moved with his parents to Sloan. He married Helen Beard of Hastings, Nebraska. They had two children: James Warner, born August 17, 1915; and Shirley Ann, born October 4, 1921. They moved to Minnesota and later to California. James and Helen have passed away.
