Erwin was born December 3, 1874 in Ticonic, Monona County, Iowa. He was the son of Levi and Leanora Thomas Erskine. He went to the Erskine School in Grant Township and later became a farmer and businessman. Erwin married Calista Mae Shell on February 26, 1899, in Sioux City. Mae was born January 22, 1877 at Salix, Iowa. Her folks later lived in Emmerson Heights, Sioux City and were neighbors of Erwin’s folks. They had three children: Glen, Florence, and Burdette.

Erwin left Iowa in 1912 and moved to Butka, Nebraska; to Hebron, Nebraska in 1919; and then to Caldwell, Idaho, in 1922, where he remained until his death on October 13, 1970. Mae died March 13, 1961, in Idaho.

Glen was born February 8, 1909, in Bronson, Iowa. His first wife was Theda Shaver. They were married in 1931 in Caldwell, Idaho. There were no children and they divorced. His second wife is Goldie Jones, with four daughters. They married in 1954. She has since died. He still lives in Idaho.

Florence Leanora was born December 10, 1899, in Sioux City, Iowa. She married William Henry Lantzer on September 26, 1920, in Hebron, Nebraska, and they had four children: Harry, Paul, Elizabeth, and Lillian. They were later divorced.

Harry was born October 16, 1921, in Nampa, Idaho. He married Margaret Meyers in 1940 at Winnemuca, Nevada. They ahd three children: Carolyn, born February 16, 1941; Fred William, born March 31, 1944; and Jerry Dean, born October 7, 1948. They were later divorced. Harry’s second wife was Wilma Stiff who was born on Febraury 24, 1901.

Paul Erwin was born September 15, 1922, in Boise, Idaho, and was killed in a motorcycle accident Febraury 7, 1939.

Elizabeth May was born April 15, 1925, in Nampa, Idaho. She was married in 1953 to Arthur Thomas Goodhue. Arthur was born October 15, 1923. They have two childen: Barbara Lane, born June 15, 1954; and Christopher Allan, born September 29, 1957 in California. Barbara Lane married Dean William Novak, May 19, 1979, in Felton, California. Dean was born July 7, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois. Christopher married Glenda Bugh on June 3, 1979, in Oroville, California. Glenda was born April 6, 1958, in California. They had one child, Calista Catherine Goodhue, bon July 31, 1981.

Lillian Lenore was born October 17, 1927, in Caldwell, Idaho. She married Arlis Odell Turner. He was born February 21, 1920, in Newhope, Arkansas, and died November 7, 1977, in Raseberg, Oregon. They had one son, David Paul Turner, born April 10, 1947. He married Yanelle Crumpler and had one daughter, Tracey Michelle, who was born November 20, 1967. He married his seocnd wife, Joyce McGraw, who was born October 17, 1947. She had two daughters: Tina, born October 22, 1965; and Vickey Lynn, born September 4, 1969.

Florence married Lawrence William Pittman in Reno, Nevada, in 1920; they later divorced. She left Idaho in 1978 for Oroville, California, where she lives now.

Florence moved from Iowa to Nebraska in 1912, and to Nampa, Idaho, in 1920. She left Idaho in 1978 for Oroville, California, to her present home.

Burdette was born January 28, 1901, in Luton, Iowa. He married Mary Thompson in 1930 in Emmett, Idaho. They had eight chidlren. The first child was born about 1931. All live in Caldwell, Idaho: Francis Irwin Samuel Leroy, John Elden, David Paul, died at birth, Mary Ellen, Rachael Marie, Raymond Marion, died at birth, and Danny Joe.
