Edith Margarite Erskine
By Bonnie J HeetlandEdith was born February 3, 1898, at Emmerson Heights, Sioux City, Iowa. She was the daughter of Cyril Benjamin and Minnie Alice Frisbie Erskine and the sister of Jesse, Walter, Vernon, Anne and Marian.
Edith attended schools in Iowa, and Minnesota. In Sioux City, she attended Longfellow. She had several jobs some of which were Singer Sewing Machine Company, where she taught sewing, Young-Town Store for children, and Davidson’s Store as a salesperson.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the Order of Rose Croix Chapter of Eastern Star. A member of both organizations for sixty years. She never married and made her home with her parents.
Edith died June 22, 1981, and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Sioux City.
