Arthur was born April 28, 1872 in Monona County, Iowa, and passed away January 30, 1971, in Fullerton, Nebraska. He was the son of Levi and Leanora Thomas Erskine. He attended public schools and Sioux City Business College. He was a partner in a general store with Ben Erskine in Castana, Iowa; farmed near Ticonic, Iowa; moved to Tilden, Nebraska, in 1906; to Inman, Nebraska, in 1912; to Wolbach, Nebraska, in 1917; to Star, Idaho, in 1929; and to Fullerton, Nebraska in 1962.

He married Ethel ‘Effie’ Moad in Onawa, Monona County, Iowa on July 13, 1898. They were married for seventy-one years. She was born January 3, 1879, and passed away January 25, 1974 in Fullerton, Nebraska. They had four children: Alden Joseph, Alma Frances, Sidney Levi and Sewell Thomas.

Alden Joseph was born May 2, 1901, in Ticonic, Iowa. He married Sarah Ann Pippett on August 17, 1932, in Sioux City, Iowa. She was born November 17, 1905, in Loogante, Indiana. They had no children.

Alma Frances was born March 24, 1904. She married Harry Walter Russell on May 2, 1923. He passed away December 16, 1956. They had two children, Marilyn and Harry, Jr.

Marilyn Louise was born March 24, 1924. She married Henry Chisholm and they had three children: Bruce, Peggy and Robert. They are now divorced and she works as a nurse.

Harry Walte Russell, Jr, was born January 25, 1926, in Fullerton, Nebraska. He is a Radiologist at Kaiser Institute in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Sidney Levi was born July 3, 1899. He married Evadna Moore in September of 1921. There were no children. He opened the Erskine Garage at Cecelia Park in 1918. He died April 26, 1926.

Sewell Thomas was born January 23, 1909, in Tilden, Nebraska. He was in the seed business. He married Juiana McIntosh on August 21, 1947 at Boise, Idaho. She was born May 17, 1917. They had four children: Jack, Robert, Patricia and Judith.

Jack Arthur was born November 15, 1949, at Rhubena, Idaho. He is an Episcopal Priest at Three Rivers, Michigan.

Robert Alden was born September 18, 1851, in Sunnyside, Washington. He is an Archealogist in Jordan.

Patricia Lynn was born April 16, 1953, at Sunnyside, Washington. She married Phillipe Boucher and lives in Lillie, France. They have two daughters. She is a nurse.

Judith Erskine was born April 22, 1956, at Sunnyside, Washington. She was married to Matthew Artaga. They were divorced. They had two children, Thomas and Christina. She lives in Brisbane Island, Seattle, Washington, and works in interior decorating.
