Katie ‘Marie’ Grow was born in Sioux City, Iowa, on April 19, 1909. She married Charles Percival Cadwallader of Stuart, Nebraska, on February 27, 1930. He had been born at Creighton, Nebraska, on September 8, 1888, the son of Frank Cadwallader and Helena Mae Schoerner. He was a farmer and trucker, now retired. They had three children: Deloras, Roland, and Carol.

1-Deloras Maxine Cadwallader, born July 30 was married July 1948 to Joseph Menish. They had six children: A-Daniel Joseph Menish, born August 23, 1951, married Naomi Green on August 10, 1981; she has a son, Chipper, born October 1978. Daniel works for Carhart Lumber, O’Neill, Nebraska. B-Ann Lucille Menish, born March 23, 1957, died March 4, 1964. C-Scott Charles Menish, born October 1959, was married August 12, 1978, to Marcia Norton. They have a son, Travis, born February 3, 1981. Scott works at S & S Warehouse, O’Neill, Nebraska. D-Robert Edward Menish, born 1960, works S & S Warehouse, O’Neill, Nebraska. E-Michael Lee Menish, born 1965. F-David Allen Menish, born July 9, 1969.

Deloras and Joe have been divorced for nine years and she was married on May 7, 1979, to Donald Barnes; they live at O’Neill, Nebraska.

2-Roland Cadwallader, born October 14, 1933, at Inman, Nebraska, married Beverly Smith, October 3, 1958, at Inman, Nebraska. Their children: Randy, born January 7, 1960, runs a catering service at O’Neill, Nebraska; Terry Lee, born June 21, 1961 is a ranch hand; Charles Kenneth, born October 8, 1963, is a ranch hand; Dana, born September 18, 1968; and Sandra Ann, born May 3, 1972. Roland died October 3, 1977. Beverly works at Dow Factory, Bassett, Nebraska, and lives at Newport, Nebraska.

3-Carol June Cadwallader, born October 9, 1940, at Inman, Nebraska, Donald Kurpgeweit on January 1, 1960. He died in 1981 at Stanton, Nebraska. Their children: Steven K, born July 29, 1962, works at the Pender stock farm; Gary, born October 5, 1963, is employed at the fertilizer plant at Stanton; Lynn Marie, born December 24, 1964, works in Norfolk; and Gail, born October 19, 1970, is still in school.

Carol married Paul Hanks on July 30, 1982. She works at the lumber yard as custodian and Paul is supervisor at Region IV in Norfolk; they live in Stanton, Nebraska.
