I've been researching my husband's family and his greatgrandfather's obit mentioned that he was survived by a sister, Mrs Otto Gleisner. Of course I've found many variations on the spelling. I have narrowed the family to Military Twp in Winneshiek Co. Ia.
According to the census, Otto was born in Pa and must have had another wife as the first 4 children Felix, Frank, Laura and Cleveland(?) were born before Emma and Otto were married and in the census are listed as sons and daughters. Emma and Otto had 4 children Otto Jr., ? daughter(unreadable) Eva and born after 1900 ant listed in 1910.
In 1910 Felix was married to Amanda and lived in Mendon twp, Clayton, Co.
Is anyone else researching this family? Is there any suggestions on where to go next?
