Peter Botolfson/Bottlson

My great grandfather was Martin Ramsey of Fillmore County, Minnesota. His father was Botolf Peterson(Ramsoy)from Aurland, Norway. The Ramsey name was taken from the farm in Norway. Botolf came over AFTER his father, Peter Botolfson or Bottlson. I have been told his father was a widower and came over with his daughter Martha and they settled in Winneshiek county, Iowa. I have no other information regarding Peter Botolfson and his daughter Martha or whether there were other children that may have accompanied Peter and his daughter Martha. They may have also used the Ramsey name. Curious also to know if Peter Botolfson ever re-married.
Would appreciate any help with someone who may have knowledge of this family.
