In Response To: HARVEY WOLFENBARGER FAMILY (Charlotte Lucas)

They also had a son Philip Henry Wolfenberger born c Nov 1849 in Pike co Ohio. In 1876 at Hampton Iowa Philip married a niece of Omri and George Emery of Decorah, Luella Viola Daniels, daughter of Candace Sarah Emery and John Daniels.

Luella and Philip had three daughters...Josephine 1878, Ella in 1881 and Daisey in 1882. According to Josephine's obit of 1951, Luella died when Josephine was four along with one sister. The other daughter left with Philip while Josephine lived with her grandmother Candace Sarah Emery Daniels Tunks.

I had assumed Luella died in Hampton where Josphine was born but the obit didn't exactly say that.

Philip married a second time and lived in Otoe NE. You can find him there with second wife and and daughter Daisey b 1882. He died in 1903 and is buried in Wyuka Cem Otoe. I place a nice picture of Philip on his grave memorial via Findagrave.com

The picture was sent me by a family who knew Josephine and husband Jesse Gregg very well from Central City NE.

I just found this so I believe Luella Viola Daniels Wolfenberger and daughter Ella are probably buried in Winneshiek co. Several of Luella uncles and families are buried at Burr Oak as are some of the Wolfenbergers.
