Anton GULBRANDSEN b. 1839 Hoeland,Akershus,NOR married Gunne JONSDATTER/JOHNSON b.1838 Melby farm NOR. Married 15 Sept 1866 in Decorah, Iowa. They had 3 sons Johan,Edward and Bernhard. The sons took the MELBY name as a surname. They MELBY brothers married 3 RUDSHAGEN sisters. They all went to Trondhjeim,Ottertail,MN.
