D. C. Malloy and Thos. Kane of Castalia attended the funeral of Mrs. Kearns which occurred here Saturday morning.

Saturday morning at 10:30 o’clock at the St. Francis church, Rev. Friedmann performing the service, occurred the funeral of Mrs. Kearns. She had reached mature age, so death came to her as a relief. She resided with her children on a farm nine miles south of town. She leaves to mourn her loss two sons and two daughters.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Elizabeth and that she was born in 1830 and died Feb. 18, 1915.
