Mrs. Joe Remke received the sad news Sunday of the death of her father Barney Gehling, south of Ossian. This community extends sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.

Rev. Gehling came Monday to attend the funeral of his brother Barney, which will take place to-morrow (Wednesday).

On Sunday afternoon Barney Gehling passed away after a lingering illness due to bright’s disease. The funeral services will occur to-morrow at two o’clock at St. Francis Catholic church, Rev. Thiltgen to officiate.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows the name spelled Bernard Geling. He was born Apr. 13, 1848 and died Sept. 13, 1914. He is buried in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery.
