Friday evening at half-past nine Mrs. Ole Martinson passed away to her eternal rest after a lingering illness. Mary Istad was born in Iowa, March 4, 1870. She was the youngest daughter of T A. Istad. Oct. 20, 1891, she was married to Ole Martinson. To this union eight children re born, all of whom are living. They are Mrs. C. Dale of Minneapolis, Adolph, Tollef, Oscar, Ernest, Esther and Mabel. She was buried on Tuesday at the Haugen cemetery. The flower offerings were numerous and beautiful.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows her name as Marit. It also shows she was born in March 5, 1872 and died Sept, 11, 1914. She is buried in the Union Prairie Cemetery
