A FRANKVILLE FARMER IS FOUND DEAD ON FRIDAY
Eli Monson was found dead in his bed in Frankville township Friday morning, April 20th, says the Ossian Bee. He had been sick for five or six years. About two weeks prior to his death he intended going to Rochester, Minn., for treatment, and when his brother, who lived with him, returned to the home from the field, he found the Eli had gone. Not hearing from Eli, efforts were made to find him in Rochester, but a search of the hospitals disclosed that he had not been there. Going to his room they found his lifeless body in bed. According to reports he had been dead about two weeks.
Eli Monson was born August 9, 1881, in Frankville township, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. O. Monson. He is survived by three brothers, Melvin, Joseph and Oscar and one sister, Mrs. Adolph Lee of Decorah. He had always lived on the home farm where he was born. The funeral services were held Saturday, April 21st, and interment was made in the Norwegian cemetery in Decorah. Rev. Paul Koren officiating.
