Merle F. Meyer

A former Castalia resident Merle F. Meyer, 57, of Stites, Idaho died at Clear Water Valley hospital, at Orpheno, Idaho, of an apparent heart attack.

He was the son of the late Carlaus and Amanda Schultz Meyer of Castalia.

Mr. Meyer graduated from the Postville Community Schools, attended Wartburg College of Waverly before joining the U. S. Air Force. Recently he had been self-employed.

He is survived by 4 children: Rhonda Mierure of Irving, Texas, Ben Meyer with the U. S. Air Force at Offut Air Base in Nebraska, Louise Savila, of Irving, Texas and Carl Meyer with the U. S. Navy, 7 grandchildren, and a sister Mrs. Marian Lutz of Hazleton.

A memorial service was held in Stites, Idaho.
