On Wednesday last week, July 1st, Edward Beebe, engineer on the St. Paul road from Chamberlain to Rapid City, was buried at Mitchell, the funeral services being held at the home of his brother Chas. Beebe. The death of Mr. Beebe was due to injuries sustained on the Friday previous (June 26th) when his skull was crushed by a blow received from a switch stand as he was leaning from the steps of his engine. The Beebe brothers will be remembered as former residents of Winneshiek county, their home being at Decorah.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows his name was Edwin and that he was born Dec. 17, 1862 in Winneshiek County and died June 28, 1914. He is buried in Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell, SD
