J. C. Spencer Dead.
A letter from “Dick” Spencer of Minneapolis conveys the information that his father, J. C. Spencer, died on Tuesday of last week, June 30th, at Long Beach, California, aged 81 years. Mr. Spencer, although he has been away from Decorah for a quarter of a century or more, is still remembered as the leading local harness dealer of his day. Beside his son “Dick” he is also survived by his daughter Amy.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Sept. 1, 1833. He is buried in Sunnyside Cemetery in Long Beach, CA.
