FOUND DEAD IN GARDEN.
Andrew Lee Died Suddenly While Picking Strawberries in His Garden.
[Ossian Bee, June 19.]
The community was startled last night at 9:45 when the news was spread that Andrew Lee had been found dead in the garden at the rear of his home.
Mr. Lee left the house after supper shortly after six o’clock, to pick strawberries. A little after nine o’clock Mrs. Lee became worried at her husband’s absence, and not noticing him in the garden, she concluded that he had gone up town. Upon inquiry, however, she could not learn of his whereabouts, and going to Frank Klein’s home she told him that his continued absence worried her, as he was accustomed to retire early. Miss Agnes Lee, daughter, then arrived home, and in company with Mr. Klein they went into the garden, and when they arrived at the berry patch they found Mr. Lee lying on his back. He had evidently been kneeling on a board while picking strawberries, and when the end came had fallen over backwards.
