Saturday at the A. C. church was held the funeral of Mrs. Clayton Reed, whose death occurred June 11, 1913, at her home west of Mabel, Minn. Ethel Ridley was born at Manchester, Iowa, Dec. 29, 1873, later moving with her parents to Burr Oak. She was united in marriage Dec. 25, 1895, to Clayton A. Reed, to which union were born four children, Gordon, Earl, Clifton and Nelda. She leaves to mourn a husband, four children, a mother, Mrs. John Ridley of Stevensville, Mont., two brothers, Glen and Albert Ridley of Stevensville and three sisters, Mrs. Millie Morrison of Dixon, Mont., Mrs. Fanny Tyler of California, and Mrs. Maggie Daniels of Monticello, Minn. Through isolated for the past few years from her home church she maintained a consecrated Christian character that is highly commended in the community where she resided.
